- Token usage (to enforce daily limits)

- Total number of fact-checks performed

- Timestamp of first and last usage

1.4 Technical Information

Our servers may automatically collect:

- IP address (for rate limiting purposes only)

- Error logs (for debugging purposes)

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

The text you select is processed solely to provide fact-checking results. We use third-party AI services (Perplexity AI) to analyze claims and provide verification results.

2.2 License Validation

Your license key is used to verify your subscription status and determine your access level.

- Enforce daily token limits

- Prevent abuse of the service

- Improve our service quality

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Quick Fact Checker - QFC is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

- "host_permissions" for specific domains: To communicate with our backend servers

The Extension runs on all websites ("<all_urls>") because fact-checking functionality needs to be available on any webpage where you might encounter claims to verify.
